 As a lifelong pet lover, I've always felt a special bond with animals. I'm one of those people that simply feels more comfortable around them.
As a child my parents, neither they or my brother were animal lovers, often became frustrated by my desire to have a dog. What child is set loose in a toy store and told to pick a toy of choice (within reason, of course) only to come back empty handed and say "I didn't see anything that I liked. The only thing I want is a dog"? One day a stray, abused dog followed me home from school. After going door to door for several hours and nobody knowing whose dog she was I brought her home with me. I was told she would be going to the pound the following day. Luckily for me, she managed to charm her way into the family and she got to stay. I finally got the best gift of all.
After graduating with a B.A. in Marketing I realized that the traditional 9 to 5, business suit thing was just not for me. I am honest, trust worthy and timely and now I get to combine my most desirable qualities with my love of companion animals.
Through the years my pets have included dogs, cats, freshwater and saltwater fish, snakes, chickens, turkeys, ducks, parrots and parakeets. My love for animals and their proper care has only grown over the years. Now I'm taking the next step and making animal care my career.
